Kent L. Johnson, CFA

Senior Vice President - Research and Investment Management

Kent Johnson is a senior vice president of research and investment management with Sit Investment Associates and shares management responsibilities for several of the firm's three dividend growth portfolios, the small and mid cap growth portfolios in the firm's custom separately-managed accounts, private investment funds and mutual funds. He also shares management responsibilities for the Sit ESG (environmental governance and social) Mutual Fund. Kent provides fundamental research on companies in the capital goods, financial, transportation and education sectors. He is a member of Sit Investment Associates' investment policy committee and leads the firm's equity quantitative research team.

Prior to joining Sit Investment Associates' equity research staff in 1993, Kent worked in a number of positions within the firm, including client administration and the systems department.

Kent earned an M.B.A. degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota in 1995. He earned a B.S. degree in finance from the University of Minnesota in 1989. Kent is a CFA charter holder.

Ronald D. Sit, CFA

Vice President - Research and Investment Management

Ronald Sit is a vice president of research and investment management and shares management responsibilities for Sit Investment Associates' large cap growth investment portfolio for custom separately-managed accounts, private investment funds, and mutual funds.  He provides fundamental research on companies in the consumer non-durable, commercial services, and retail sectors.  Ron is a member of the Sit Investment Associates Investment Policy Committee.

Ron joined Sit Investment Associates in 1984.  His prior work experience includes work for the treasurer and controller of Gelco Corporation and as a research assistant with Piper Jaffray.

Ron earned an M.M. degree from the Northwestern University's J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, where he focused in the areas of finance, managerial economics, and managerial accounting.  He earned a B.A. degree from Northwestern University in 1981.  Ron is a CFA charter holder.

Ron serves on the boards of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Private School Young Life, and the President's Cabinet of the Northern Star Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

David A. Brown, CFA

Vice President - Research and Investment Management & Director of Client Services

David Brown is a vice president of research and investment management with Sit Investment Associates and provides fundamental research on companies the the media, consumer durable, and consumer services sectors for the firm. He shares management responsibilities for the Sit ESG (environmental, governance and social) Mutual Fund. As the director of client services, David leads the institutional equity business development and client service initiatives. He is a member of the Sit Investment Associates investment policy committee.

Prior to joining Sit Investment Associates in 1997, David held a variety of positions with KPMG, Peat Marwick LLP, including client relationship management, technical accounting, and provided advisory services on GAAP, SEC, and financial reporting issues to corporate clients. While at KPMG, David also specialized in mergers and acquisitions and capital market transactions.

David earned a B.B.A. degree in accounting from the University of North Dakota in 1986. He is a CFA charter holder.

Robert W. Sit, CFA

Vice President - Research and Investment Management

Robert Sit is a vice president of research and investment management with Sit Investment Associates. He shares management responsibilities for the small cap, small cap dividend, and mid cap growth investment portfolios for the firm's custom separately-managed account, private investment funds, and mutual funds. He provides fundamental research on companies in the technology and energy sectors.

Rob joined Sit Investment Associates' affiliate Sit International (Sit/Kim) as a research associate in 1991. In 1993, Rob joined Sit Investment Associates' technology research team.

Rob earned an M.B.A. from Northwestern University's J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 2002 and a B.A. degree in economics from DePauw University in 1991. Rob is a CFA charter holder.

Rob serves on the boards of the Minnesota International Center, the Abbott Northwestern Hospital Foundation, and Twin Cities Public Television (tpt). He also serves on the investment committees of the National Marrow Donor Program and the Be the Match Foundation.

Michael J. Stellmacher, CFA

Vice President - Research and Investment Management

Mike Stellmacher is a vice president of research and investment management with Sit Investment Associates and shares management responsibilities for the firm's dividend and global dividend growth, capital growth, global growth, small cap and large cap growth portfolios for the firm's custom separately-managed accounts, private investment funds, and mutual funds.  His investment research responsibilities focus on the 21st century economy and high-carbon footprint industries such as energy, utilities, chemicals, and metals.  Mike is a member of the Sit Investment Associates Investment Policy Committee.

Prior to joining Sit Investment Associates in 2001, Mike managed the investments of The Pillsbury Company's employee benefit plans.  Trained as an economist, Mike also held economic research and analyst positions with Pillsbury, Tri/Valley Growers and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Michael earned an M.B.A. degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota in 1991.  He also holds an M.S. degree in agricultural economics from Oklahoma State University, which he received in 1979, and a B.S. degree in agricultural economics from the University of Wisconsin in 1977.  Mike is a CFA charter holder.

Raymond E. Sit

Vice President - Research and Investment Management

Raymond Sit is a vice president of research and investment management with Sit Investment Associates and shares management responsibilities for the global and global dividend, developing markets, and pacific basin growth portfolios in the firm's custom separately-managed accounts, private investment funds, and mutual funds.  Raymond provides fundamental research on companies located within Latin America, emerging Europe, and Asia ex-Japan.

While attending college, Raymond worked as a research associate for Sit Investment Associates during summer months from 1983 to 1986.  After graduation, he was a cost analyst with the Aerospace Cost Consulting practice of Tecolote Research, Inc. prior to returning to Sit Investment Associates in 1992.

Raymond earned an M.B.A. degree from Pepperdine University in 1990.  He earned a B.S. degree in economics, with a minor in statistics, from the University of Minnesota in 1987.

Denise A. Anderson, Ph.D.

Vice President - Research and Investment Management

Denise Anderson is a vice president of research and investment management with Sit Investment Associates and brings an extensive background in both investments and chemistry to her fundamental research on companies in the global healthcare sector.

Immediately prior to joining Sit Investment Associates in 2008, Denise served as a vice president and sell-side healthcare analyst at Bank Julius Baer in Zurich, Switzerland, where she led a team of healthcare analysts.  She also served as a vice president for Bank Sarasin in Zurich, where she was a chemical and pharmaceutical analyst.  Prior to her investment roles, Denise was a director and scientist for Roche Holding Company and a senior scientist with BASF.  She has earned a number of patents for her scientific research.

Denise holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the Johns Hopkins University, which she received in 1989.  She was awarded an M.B.A. from Duke University in 1997.  Denise earned a B.A. in chemistry from the University of Minnesota in 1983.

Denise serves as press secretary for the American Chemical Society's Minnesota Government and Legislative Affairs Committee.  She is president of the Twin Cities Chapter of the Johns Hopkins Alumni Association.

Joseph R. Eshoo

Vice President - Research and Investment Management

Joseph Eshoo is a vice president of research and investment management with Sit Investment Associates.  His engineering and investment expertise are utilized in his fundamental research and securities analysis of  companies in the technology and telecommunications sectors.

Immediately before joining Sit Investment Associates in 2008, Joseph was a senior analyst and portfolio manager at HighMark Capital Management, where he covered the information technology and telecommunications services sectors.  He has over nine years of sell-side senior analyst experience at A.G. Edwards & Sons, Rodman & Renshaw, and Zacks Investment Research.  Before beginning his career in the investment industry, Joseph worked within the avionics defense industry for nine years as a radar jamming systems design engineer, primarily for Northrop Corporation.

Joseph holds an M.B.A., with a concentration in finance and a specialization in international business, from the University of Chicago, which he received in 1991.  He earned a Masters degree in Engineering Management from Northwestern University in 1988.  Joseph received a B.S. in electrical and electronics engineering from Marquette University in 1982.

Michael T. Manns

Vice President - Research and Investment Management

Michael Manns is a vice president of research and investment management with Sit Investment Associates and provides fundamental research on health care companies. He shares management responsibilities for the firm's small cap growth portfolio and the Sit ESG (environmental, social, and governance) Growth Mutual Fund portfolio.

Prior to joining Sit Investment Associates in 2014, Mike was a senior health care equity analyst with Bloomberg Industries. He has held various investment management roles at a number of prominent asset management firms.

Mike earned an M.B.A. from the Wharton Graduate Division of the University of Pennsylvania in 1987 and a B.A. degree in political science from the University of Dayton in 1979.

Mike is a board director for Global Minnesota, which delivers programs that allow Minnesotans to connect and participate in the international sphere, extending Minnesota's influence globally. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the Monitors Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation whose primary mission is to support programs that target the advancement of youth who are challenged by socio-economic circumstances or who may have limited opportunities to fulfill their potential. Mike also serves on the University of Dayton School of Business Administration's business advisory council.

Michael C. Marzolf

Vice President - Research and Investment Management

Michael Marzolf is a vice president of research and investment management with Sit Investment Associates.  He provides fundamental research on companies in the technology and financial services sectors.  He joined the firm in 2016.

Michael began his career in the financial services industry in 1986.   Immediately before joining Sit Investment Associates, Michael was a portfolio manager at Ameriprise/Columbia Management and focused on global small, mid, and large cap growth, value and dividend stocks in the technology, consumer, financial services, and industrials sectors.  His earlier investment experience focused on technology stocks for mutual fund and hedge fund companies. Michael served as a senior sell-side analyst for Piper Jaffray in Silicon Valley.  He has also served in audit and consulting roles for an accounting and consulting firm and for two regional banks.  Mike earned a B.S.degree  in accounting from the University of St. Thomas in 1993.

Tasha M. Murdoff

Vice President - Research and Investment Management

Tasha Murdoff is a vice president of research and investment management with Sit Investment Associates and shares management responsibilities for the firm's international, global, global dividend, and pacific basin growth portfolios for the firm's separately-managed accounts, private investment funds and mutual funds.  She is also a portfolio manager of the Sit ESG (environmental, governance and social) Mutual Fund.  Tasha provides fundamental research on companies located within Europe, Japan, emerging markets, and Canada.

Tasha worked with Sit Mutual Funds before joining the firm's marketing team in 1998.  She began working in equity research for the firm in 2000.

Tasha earned an M.B.A. degree from the University of St. Thomas in 2002 and a B.A. degree in Business Administration in 1997 from Augsburg College.

Tasha is an advisor and member of the WCA Foundation Investment Committee.

Mark A. Pepper

Vice President - Research and Investment Management

Mark Pepper is a vice president of research and investment management with Sit Investment Associates and performs fundamental research and securities analysis of European companies and other sectors. Mark previously worked for the firm as an equity research analyst from 2002 to 2007 and covered several industries within the technology and healthcare sectors. He served as a consultant to the firm from 2008 to 2010. Mark rejoined the firm in October 2010 after a two-year period as a vice president and senior research analyst with OFI Institutional, where he was part of a four-person team that managed OFI's small cap relative value (core) and disciplined value portfolios.

Mark began his investment career with Goldman Sachs and focused on capital goods and automotive companies.

Mark earned an M.B.A. degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business in 2001. He earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Bryant College in 1995.

Stacey M. Curme

Equity Trader / Equity Research Analyst

Stacey Curme is an equity trader for global markets and serves as research analyst for Roger Sit, Sit Investment Associates' global chief investment officer.  Her fundamental research and securities analysis covers several sectors.

Stacey joined Sit Investment Associates in 1993.  She served as a client service representative for both Sit Investment Associates' client administration department and Sit Mutual Funds prior to assuming her trading and analyst roles.

Stacey earned an M.B.A. degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota in 2001.  She earned a B.S. degree in finance and banking from the University of Minnesota in 1993.

Ningning Tang, CFA

Equity Research Analyst

Ningning focuses her fundamental research and securities analysis on companies located in the Greater China region, where her fluency in Mandarin is beneficial, and across a range of sectors. Her earliest professional experience was with Prima Pacific Inc. in Beijing, China where she was a business analyst. After moving to the United States, Ningning worked at Peregrine Capital Management. She covered technology stocks while serving as an associate equity analyst with Craig – Hallum Capital Group LLC prior to joining Sit Investment Associates in 2007.

Ningning earned an M.B.A. degree from the University of St. Thomas in 2004. She earned a B.A. degree from the Beijing Second Institute of Foreign Languages in 1992. Ningning is a CFA charter holder.

Bradley W. Meyer

Equity Trader / Equity Research Associate

Bradley Meyer is a trader and research associate for Sit Investment Associates' equity team. He joined the firm's client administration group in 2001 and began trading in 2004.

Brad earned an M.B.A. degree in 2008 from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He earned a B.A. degree in finance from Gustavus Adolphus College in December 1998.

Lee J. Feltman, CFA

Equity Research Associate

Lee Feltman is a research associate and provides fundamental research and quantitative analysis to Sit Investment Associates' equity team.

Lee began his career with the firm in 2007 as an equity research intern and joined the firm full time in 2009 following graduation.

Lee earned a B.S. degree in finance from the University of Minnesota in 2009.  Lee is a CFA charter holder.

Eric M. Manthe

Equity Research Associate

Eric Manthe is a research associate with Sit Investment Associates and performs quantitative and portfolio analytics as well as fundamental research for the firm's equity team.  He began his career with Sit Investment Associates in the firm's systems department in 2004.

Eric received an M.B.A. degree in 2010 from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.  He earned a B.S. degree in computer sciences, with a minor in economics, from St. Cloud State University in 2003.

Nicholas D. Tich

Equity Research Associate

Nicholas Tich is a research associate with Sit Investment Associates and assists the firms' equity research team utilizing quantitative tools and portfolio analysis.  Nick began his career with the firm as an intern with Sit Mutual Funds before transferring to the equity research area upon graduation.

Nick received a B.S. degree in Mathematical Economics from the University of St. Thomas in 2008.

Samuel K.V. Krawczyk

Equity Research Assistant

Sam Krawczyk is a research assistant with Sit Investment Associates.  His research focus is on capital goods and consumer sectors.  He joined the firm in 2014.

Sam graduated from Northwestern University, magna cum laude, in 2012 with a B.S. degree in political science.

Peter L. Mitchelson, CFA

Vice Chairman (Retired)

Peter Mitchelson, a founding principal of Sit Investment Associates, retired in 2008 as vice chairman after 28 years with the firm. He is now a consultant for the firm.

Peter served as senior vice president - portfolio management and client services for IDS Advisory (American Express Financial), where he was responsible for managing client portfolios with approximately $300 million in equity assets. He also directed marketing for IDS Advisory. Prior to joining the IDS organization in 1978, Peter was with McLean Budden Limited, an investment counseling firm specializing in pension fund management.

Peter earned an M.B.A. degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration in 1966 and a BComm degree from the University of Toronto in 1964.

Peter is a board member of the Minnesota Council on Economic Education.
